2003-12-17 Builds

  • Fixed: 228285 - make the bookmarks tree more discoverable, by adding a tooltip to the expander.
  • Fixed: 132517 - prefs.js frequently truncated on exit or crash
  • Continued regression: 228660 - OK button shouldn't be always on the right on Windows.
  • Continued regression: 228648 - Some WinXP users report crashes at startup.
  • Continued regression: 227951 - "Add Bookmark" window becomes wider each time the arrow button is hit.

Windows builds: No official Windows builds, MadmanNova's, scragz's G7 SSE2, G7 SSE, G7, G6 SSE

Linux builds: Official Linux, Official Linux+xft+gtk2, Yek's SSE xft+gtk2 with DOMi,Venkman, daihard's

Mac builds: Official Mac

There were also Firebird 0.8 branch builds (Builds forum discussion, MozillaZine article). The branch includes or will include some new features that aren't on the trunk, which is unusual.

    Wow! Fb 0.8 builds… is the stable release coming soon???

    My own speculation (deduced from projects/firebird/roadmap.html ) is September next year for release 1.0 .
    Whereas given the present quality I’m already very happy with an “unstable” version like this pre-0.8 .
