2004-01-09 Branch builds
- Continued regression: 229600 - Installing 2 extensions without restarting re-launches extension-installer for previous installed extensions.
- Installer problem: 228672 - Installer deletes any non-Firebird files in the installation directory (if you check the "Safe Upgrade" box, which is unchecked by default on the branch)
No official Windows build.

I can understand bug 228672 being deemed “minor” by Ben Goodger (personal feeling here), but 229600 seems to linger a bit, probably blocking 0.8 . I’m longing to see the new branch. Does someone have any idea of the remaining time needed for the last fixes ?
(If you read this, forgive me if I appear like a fledgling in the nest waiting for food. These times allow me no more than testing nightly releases.)

Hi, Thank you for keeping the site updated. It helps a lot. A bug that I found, I don’t know whether it qualifies. I was reading Tip #134 on mozillatips.com about copying text from table cells. I tired this out but somehow the selected text disappears. I am using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7a) Gecko/20040106 Firebird/0.7+ StumbleUpon/1.9 (aebrahim)

WFM with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7a) Gecko/20040108 Firebird/0.8.0+ (MozJF) if I ctrl+click a paragraph at http://mozillatips.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=153&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0 , copy, and paste into notepad.

Hi Jesse, the ctrl + click and copy works for me. Found something more. Do ctrl + click to select a cell. Release ctrl and keeping Shift pressed double click inside the cell. The text disappears. I could not however make links disappear. I do have some extensions installed but don’t know whether one of them is the culprit.
Jesse, if this is a bug and if yes how do I verify it? Is there a process that I should follow or just make an entry into bugzilla?

Still WFM. I’d like to know what site you’re testing on and you could be more clear about when you start and stop holding Shift.

Hi Jesse, did not know you were online. I am testing on the same mozillatips.com site and tip #134. I can send you a screenshot. I think this is odd that it works as such for me.

Sorry, did not answer your question fully. I select the tip #134 cell using the ctrl+click thing. Next I release ctrl and keeping shift pressed, try to highlight the contents of the cell. If I double-click now, the contents disappear. I hope that makes it clear.
