So how come that the nighltly builds are still called firebird?

holy crap! I’ve been secretly waiting for a ‘set as wallpaper’ confirmation since back in the day when I accidentally set a porn pic as the background on my father’s computer with Netscape 4.x! Yay!

Jose: Tomorrow’s trunk builds will be called Mozilla Firefox and have an executable named firefox.exe. They won’t have the new artwork — they still have the globe-and-wing icon and the red bird. They will have the new credits page, though.
Kevin: I hope your dad didn’t see it…

Thanks Jesse

I’m glad that the old Firebird logo’s still in Firefox’s credits, but it’s a shame the trunk builds don’t use it (or, better, the fox) as the icon.

BTW was bug 229600 (the extension bug) fixed for branch builds ? Maybe I missed that …

“Kevin, I hope your dad didn’t see it.”
All I can say is, “Damn you, Windows and your saving of ‘Netscape Wallpaper’ in the walpaper selection list.” =)

These naming conventions are really messing up my hierarchy…

This Feb. 10th version, for OSX (10.3.2) exits immediately with the error message so often asked about in Apple’s Discussion forums that begins:
Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)
Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0x0002) at 0x0000000090
which I think means “it broke” and has never been explained any better in public. They always recommend running all the permissions, bindings, utilities, cache cleaner etc to fix this.
I just opened the Sunday Feb. 8th Firefox 0.8, which came back up flawlessly.
