2004-07-31 Branch builds

  • Fixed: 253738 - Winstripe updates: toolbar icons (Go, History, Downloads, New Window and New Tab), New Folder in the Bookmark Manger. New Tab should now look less like a toaster.
  • Fixed (?): 251891 - Since Find toolbar was implemented, Find as you type doesn't work with int'l charachters.
  • Fixed: 250758 - Firefox crashes when trying to open an URL in a new tab.
  • Fixed: 253664 - Change File > Send accelerator to "e" instead of "S".
  • Fixed: 253454 - Rename Livemarks to Live Bookmarks.
  • Fixed: 253478 - Remove bookmark notification pannel.
  • Fixed: 252905 - Need a way to trigger re-registration for all profiles when new components are installed.
  • Since July 31: 253876 - With "Use find as you type" enabled, pressing arrow keys, home, or end triggers Find bar.
  • Since July 30: 253709 - Search bar autocomplete pops up near left-top of screen after clicking on elements in a site.
  • Since ~July 30: 253757 - Submenus of context menu don't open automatically.
  • Since July 27: 253288 - [WindowsXP with Luna] At secure sites, the Lock icon missing from the status bar.

Windows builds: Official Windows, Official Windows installer (discussion), bangbang's O2 G7 SSE2

Linux builds: No official Linux builds.

Mac builds: Official Mac

    The new icons are nicer, much nicer – however, they still have too much padding, that’s especially obvious when you hover over them. The Reload icon even looks misaligned when hovered.

    Official Mac dated 7/31 from the official site, when uncompressed, is the same 7/30 version/timestamp as yesterday’s; maybe later ….

    Would it be possible to have Burning posts show up on Feedhouse as red and green text like the rumbling edge posts do?

    I agree with peter hewitt’s comments about posts showing up on feedhouse (and planet.mozilla.org) as red and green, but the thing is..

    Though i like the red and green in feedhouse better, i like burning edge’s background color of red for all regressions, and green for all fixes, rather than changing the text color for each entry..

    If there was a way to get feedhouse to recognize the block of background color, it’d be grand.

    My styles don’t show up on Feedhouse and Planet because I use CSS in a stylesheet instead of inline styles. I guess I could switch to inline styles, but that would make it harder for me to change the styles globally :/

    By the way, some sites that syndicate The Burning Edge use a stylesheet to style elements with my class names. http://www.chuonthis.com/ is an example. He kept my colors but changed the margins and indentation. So if Feedhouse or Planet wanted to use my styles, they could just copy the relevant lines from my stylesheet into theirs.
