Have some probs with bookmarks (since 08/27):
An entry like this:
A HREF=”http://www.squarefree.com/burningedge/“ ADD_DATE=”1068231862″ LAST_VISIT=”1093903045″ LAST_MODIFIED=”1076343476″ LAST_CHARSET=”ISO-8859-1″ ID=”rdf:#$fGvKs”>Mozilla Firefox nightly build blog
gets to something like this if I click on the bookmark, but it works anyway:

Anyone getting similar things?

don’t know if 08/27 is the first build with this bug. Same with a clean profile using:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040830 Firefox/0.9.1+ (bangbang023)
August 31st, 2004 at 3:55 am
oh, I guess, this is just the ICON itself and no problem, sorry!

Will bug, causing the big background images to slow down (dramacitally) scrolling and all performance of the page, be fixed? Ever?
August 31st, 2004 at 6:22 am
i can’t uninstall any extentions..
probably since the last 2 or 3 nightlys
also
the new “open in tabs” on live bookmarks does nothing.
could be TBE related, but i can’t uninstall extentions so i can’t test to be sure.

Why is #255394 a restricted bug?
August 31st, 2004 at 10:27 am
I can’t access the bug, so I don’t know for sure, but my guess is that it contains the phone numbers of Google employees or some other confidential information.

The alternate stylesheets icon/changer on status bar is gone… (Windows 2000)
August 31st, 2004 at 1:02 pm
Mike, yes it’s out for 1.0.
See this: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=118119 discussion.

does the plugin thing work and actually download plugins in this build?
September 1st, 2004 at 8:57 pm
WARNING — OSX —- WARNING Sept. 1 is Whoah!
Sept. 1 build (OSX at least) is DIFFERENT, it’s a “1.0 preview” and you probably do NOT want to just drop it onto yesterday’s to replace it.
Think ahead too.
AdBlock isn’t yet updated, in fact there are very, very few extensions that will work. None of mine from yesterday. Several listed as being compatible complain and won’t install too.
Now, for more than I know for sure:
UNINSTALL YESTERDAY’S — DON’T JUST OVERWRITE
Can you tell I was a bit hasty? I’m sure it’s
wonderful, but oh, me, oh, my it’s different.

Adblock works with the 20040901 build, just get it from http://www.extensionmirors.nl and they’ll have a version with bumped maxversion there. Yeah, not the official one, but nothing seems to have broken, it’s just that the former maxversion is stopping it from working.
September 2nd, 2004 at 12:35 am
Oops, a typo in the URL above (actually more than one :-P).
Should be:
http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/
… for 1.0PR compatible Adblock.
September 2nd, 2004 at 4:34 am
Adblock works fine for me in the 20040901 build even without updating. The Wed Developer toolbar got disabled though.
September 2nd, 2004 at 9:18 am
The fix for bug 256663 was to make sure that the new plugin placeholder doesn’t show up if the pref isn’t set to enable it.
September 2nd, 2004 at 3:36 pm
How long has there not been a Print option in the context menu? I went to print a page today and just noticed it isn’t there.
I also can’t save passwords for new gmail accounts. My old ones are still there, but it doesn’t ask to save new ones.
September 2nd, 2004 at 9:03 pm
that hacked up adblock is only semi-functional for me in the 20040901 mac build — there is no longer an “adblock this image” menu item.
September 3rd, 2004 at 5:19 am
>> in fact there are very, very few extensions that will work.
in fact nearly all extension work. As a nightly user you should be aware of http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/extensions/update.html -> “Power Tip: Installing Extensions You Know Are Compatible”
September 3rd, 2004 at 7:32 am
thanks for that helpful link, but even after pushing my app.extensions.version property back down to 0.9 and installing the stock adblock, it was still only partly functional. i suspect some genuine incompatibility has been introduced recently, or there is some other interaction among extensions and versions i am unaware of.

… damned casino spammer.

Re the ‘adblock this image’ option not showing — are you sure you were on a page that had an images to block? I was puzzled, asked at the AdBlock forums and they only populate the pulldown menu with types that are actually there to block on the page you’re at.
September 3rd, 2004 at 10:32 pm
quite sure.
September 4th, 2004 at 2:44 pm

September 5th, 2004 at 6:34 am
Jesse apparently have his hands full with other things.
September 5th, 2004 at 10:42 pm
I was moving back from my apartment in Austin to my parents’ house in Palos Verdes. I will be here for two weeks and then I will move to San Diego to start graduate school.

I cant find the “Implement Page Style > None” in the view menu, am i blind?
September 6th, 2004 at 1:34 pm
Jose: I think it was implemented but not turned on, or something like that.
