2005-08-16 Branch builds

  • Fixed: 304469 - Add -new-tab option to auto-remote.

Fixes:

  • Fixed: 243324 - Download manager fails to close with files that download very quickly (small files / cached files).
  • Fixed: 225034 - Certificate Manager Crashes Mozilla [@ nsCertTree::CmpByCrit].
  • Fixed: 304053 - Inconsistent focus indication in Midas.

Fixes for regressions:

  • Fixed: 303058 - Missing plugin bar no longer appears.
  • Fixed: 304436 - [Mac] RSS button is displayed empty.

Major regressions since Deer Park Alpha 2:

  • Since branching: 304608 - Automatic app update updates to trunk.
  • Since ~Aug 12: 304590 - Crash [@ nsWindowSH::GetProperty] when loading a page with many frames.
  • Since July 31: 303267 - Back/Forward break JavaScript.
  • Since July 26: 302136 - Two clicks on "Install Now" button are necessary to install an extension.

    302136 landed on trunk, would imagine it will land on branch very soon.

    I like the Download Manager fix! :D

    And now they just checked in the fix to bug 258285 too (“Find Toolbar sometimes appears (pops up) when typing/entering arbitrary characters in textareas/form input fields, FAYT (find as you type) activated”):

    Btw, since when themes and extensions does not work anymore? I was off for two weeks and missed something. :(

    Extensions don’t work on trunk, but I’m not having any trouble with them on branch.

    All the major regressions ( 303267 , 302136 , 304590) have been fixed! They should show on the brach soon hopefully next build!

    If they can get a fix for extensions and themes quickly the next nightly build will be a sweet one :-)

    note: not a very good idea to switch between trunk and branch frequently, especially with the extension bug. broke all of my extensions and had to reinstall them after going from trunk to branch (which i have been doing lately), and some ill have to edit in order to force them to work again (gmail notifier for one). could always just create a different profile for both, but meh im lazy.
