Wow, is theregressions list (or almost lack there of) a result fo the branching or have they actually worked out previous regressions and fixed them? And since there is so few, can we expect the beta for Ff1.5 soon since there doesnt seem to be many major regressions left?

Most of the major regressions are gone, but there are still quite a few bugs marked as blocking beta.

looks like 304608 got fixed not too long ago.

Please add one regression to your list, which has been existing since ~FF1.04 and causes lots of trouble: Bug #252371 (incremental find/search in page does not find/highlight text in textarea/form/text entry boxes). This bug has received 196 (!) votes in bugzilla and is a REAL problem to FF-usability…

I’m amazed by the recent spree of fixes to long standing / serious bugs, some heavily voted on too!
Just in the last three days fixes to
– Two clicks on “Install Now” button are necessary to install an extension
– With bfcache enabled, Rocker Navigation extension stops text entry into textarea
– Find Toolbar sometimes appears when typing into textareas / form input fields.
– Back/Forward / bfcache breaks JavaScript.
– Crash [@ nsWindowSH::GetProperty] when loading a page with many frames
– Download manager fails to close with files that download very quickly
Wow… :D

Oh, and just recently a comment on “automatic app update updates to trunk”:
Additional Comment #3 From Michael Morgan (morgamic) 2005-08-18 20:11 PDT
AUS should no longer be updating branches to trunk.

I hope bug 303395 will get some attention soon. I’m stuck with the Fedora releases until this gets fixed and really prefer to use the nightlies.

Not sure if this stems from my imagination, restarting the browser or both…but this build feels a hell of a lot snappier on top of all of these fixes. Not just page loads, but the interface as well. Did someone do some work on the memory footprint?
(Mac 10.3.9 w/ 256 megs and a 400mhz G3…usually a bit sluggish)
