2005-10-03 Branch builds

New stuff:

  • Fixed: 310615 - Bump Firefox / Thunderbird version on Mozilla 1.8 branch to 1.4.1.

Fixes:

  • Fixed: 288054 - Unchecking "Allow web sites to install software" causes software update to hang.
  • Fixed: 300453 - 'Disable common annoyances' prevents focusing of designmode iframes. (Disallowing scripts from raising and lowering windows also prevents them from focusing frames. Also, sites like Gmail that focus iframes also focus the window even though they're not trying to.)
  • Fixed: 298961 - Plugins get no notification through NPP_SetWindow when switching between tabs.

Fixes for regressions:

  • Fixed: 310480 - Submenu of context menu doesn't open automatically when highlighted (since Sept 29).
  • Fixed: Focus in trees is ugly (from bug 301776).
  • Fixed: 309348 - CIBC login form does not submit.

Major regressions since Firefox 1.5 Beta 1:

  • Since ~Oct 1: 310864 - Greasemonkey 0.6.2 hangs at Gmail if any user scripts are active.

    I’ve still been experiencing ococasional focus problems similar to the symptoms of “305032 – Edit commands not available to subsequent instances on startup (cut, copy, paste, select all).” I can’t pin them down to reproduce them though. Anybody else?

    Well, I’m still experiencing the “can’t open links in new windows, can’t quit firefox” issue. I think it might be related since it seems to have appeared at the same time. The only way I can reproduce it is to use Firefox for a while, including opening new windows. I don’t have any specific QA steps to follow, though :(

    Anyone notice that clicking the “Open in Tabs” item of a Bookmark Folder disables all Keyboard Shortcuts?
