2004-09-08 Branch builds
- Fixed: 101190 - Requested popups fail if you click the new-window link or button while the page is loading.
- Fixed: 252326 - Web page can open unrequested popup by appending a script element (exploited by aol.com).
- Fixed: 251770 - Add UI pref, "Select new tabs opened from bookmarks or history". (This pref still defaults to true and "Select new tabs opened from links" still defaults to false.)
- Fixed: 246014 - Chromereg/Extension Manager don't select skins/locales for extensions in some cases. (This might have been why the Delicious Delicacies extension gave XML parsing errors for some users.)
- Fixed: Change version in UA string from "1.0 PR (NOT FINAL)" to "0.10" to make web pages happier. The About dialog now shows "1.0 Preview Release (NF)" separately from the UA string.
- Fixed: 217472 - Change History sidebar to open items on single-click rather than double-click to match boomarks.
- Since September 8: 258499 - Gmail Invites window incorrectly blocked as an unrequested popup.
I've removed some old regressions from this list. They're still present, but they probably won't be fixed by 1.0 PR and they aren't affecting decisions like "Which build from the last week should I get?". As always, you can get a more complete list of regressions by clicking the Fx regressions by votes link in The Burning Edge's sidebar.

Adding 5 Engines to the soundbar sound like a big mistake to me, because there is no easy UI way to uninstall them. So long it would be better if there was only Google as default search…

217472 has NOT been fixed in the branch. You still have to double-click.

parsec: I’m using
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040908 Firefox/0.10
and it is fixed for me.

Jesse – I am using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040908 Firefox/0.10 and it doesn’t work. Something to do with Win98?

Jesse – Correction! I have to double click to open a folder, unless I click on the little + square, but a single click on an item in the folder now opens that page. Thanks – sorry for the confusion. It is just that single clicking anywhere on a folder in the sidebar bookmarks opens that folder, so there is still that inconsistency.

parsec: good catch. I filed http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=258669 based on your comments.
